Russian Studies at Luther College

Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) continue to play a major role in world politics, culture, and the world economy. With knowledge of Russian language and culture, Luther Russian Studies students are prepared for many types of employment opportunities, graduate study, and volunteer service.

Knowledge of Russian also can complement other academic programs at Luther. Our Russian students have had majors/minors in a variety of fields, including: Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Political Science, History, Classical Languages, Nursing, Social Work, Classical Languages, Biblical Languages, English, Education, Africana Studies, Museum Studies, Anthropology.
